Connecting the dots of data for sustainable health solutions

Client brief

As part of the WHO Emergency Preparedness and Response (WHO EPR) initiative, WHO EPR- PROSE is a flagship under the WHO EPR that is dedicated in developing research methods aimed at preventing disease outbreaks and strengthening health systems across African nations. We were approached by Global Health Strategies (GHS) to create a brand identity for the WHO EPR and its key flagships, including PROSE. The challenge was to clearly communicate the vital role that WHO EPR – PROSE plays in empowering African countries to build resilience against health catastrophes.

Our approach

To represent PROSE’s function, we designed a logo featuring a forward-pointing arrow, symbolizing Africa’s proactive steps toward strengthening its health systems. The design also incorporates a matrix of dots, each representing a vital piece of information, data point, or research insight. These dots, when connected, illustrate how PROSE unifies diverse knowledge and expertise to create a comprehensive understanding of health challenges. This interconnected visual concept underscores PROSE’s commitment to helping African nations build robust systems for disease prevention, enhancing the continent’s overall health resilience.
